If there’s one thing Damian hates more than anything, it’s being treated like a child. He might be just ten years old—that’s a whole decade, you know—but he’s been trained by assassins, he’s the Boy Wonder, he’s the son of Bruce Wayne. You have to admit that’s pretty impressive, and Damian thinks that’s enough for him to be called more than just some kid. Children don’t fight crime; that’s reserved for the big boys.
But then there’s Stephanie.
“Besides she probably has kooties or something.”
“Nope, there’s nothing special about Miss Stephanie Brown, nothing at all. She’s just a girl in a costume who continually makes herself a pain to Damian. And who may or may not infuriate him with crush-like feelings. Not that he has a crush—only little kids get crushes on people and Damian is not a child—he just has a crushing feeling around her. But certainly not like that.”
